Wood dyeing requires advanced skill — the rich indigo hue is a result of careful trial and error by our artisans, and will gradually develop a deep patina with use. The beeswax finish adds a natural sheen, highlighting the beauty of the Japanese cherry wood.
Crafted from reclaimed furniture waste
Walnut
Crafted from offcuts from the workshop floor of Wakaba Kagu, a furniture maker in Fuchu, Hiroshima prefecture. Walnut is a premium hardwood widely used in furniture and prized for its unique grain variations, rarity, slow growth and high demand. Over time, the wood will naturally lighten in colour, allowing you to appreciate its evolving beauty as it ages.
