Kakimori Lauscha glass pen - Clear

¥27,126

Our original glass pen was conceived in collaboration with glass artist Motoko Fujita. Each pen is meticulously crafted by an artisan in the German glassblowing village of Lauscha. The pen is ideal for those who prefer a delicate and smooth writing feel. Relaunched in early summer 2022 with more colours that celebrate the distinctive beauty of Lauscha glass.

  • As each item is individually crafted by hand, please expect slight variations in specification or feel.
  • To prevent the build-up of dry ink in the grooves, rinse frequently in water during use.
  • To remove stubborn dry ink, gently scrub in water with a soft toothbrush.

Repairs including restoring damaged nibs are available for a fee. Please contact us via the enquiry form.

Created with thought

Born from a desire for a glass pen that is beautiful to write with, yet has a casual appeal. Equally important was preserving and sustaining the exquisite glass and traditional craftsmanship of Lauscha. Designed by Fujita, each pen has been handcrafted by a Lauscha glass artisan.

Designed for daily use

Fujita has realised our concept for a simple yet distinctive design. Shorter than a typical glass pen, our pen feels closer to the familiar fountain or ballpoint pen.

Lauscha glass

Glass artist Motoko Fujita trained in the glassblowing town of Lauscha in the former East Germany. Lauscha is known for glass of distinctive colours and clarity, and is also the birthplace of glass Christmas tree ornaments.
