Step 1: Removal
Remove the body and the converter from the grip section.
Wrap the metal part of the nib with a soft cloth. As the nib is delicate, be sure to hold it as pictured.
Hold the nib with your left hand and the grip section with your right, then rotate the grip to the left to detach it. Handle the nib with care to avoid misalignment or distortion, which may cause malfunction.
Step 2: Installation
Insert the replacement nib and rotate the grip section to the right to secure it.
Tip
For extended storage of the removed nib, we recommend cleaning it first with the Kakimori ink cleaning solution.

Extended storage
For extended storage of a removed nib, we recommend cleaning it first with the Kakimori ink cleaning solution.
Step 1: Soak overnight
Remove the nib from the grip section and place it directly into the bottle of the cleaning solution, pointing downwards. If the nib floats, close the cap and gently shake the bottle up and down until the nib is fully submerged. Leave to soak for 9-12 hours.
Step 2: Rinse
The solution may leave a white powdery residue if allowed to dry. Rinse the nib thoroughly. Wash hands thoroughly after rinsing.
Step 3: Remove excess water
Press a tissue against the nib and shake well to remove any remaining ink and water.
