Nib holder sold separately
Recommended for use with Kakimori and Inkstand pigment inks
Hold at a 45° angle to write
When attaching to or removing from the nib holder, grip the metal collar and avoid applying pressure directly to the glass
Insert into the nib holder with a gentle twist until fully seated. To remove, twist and pull slowly — forceful removal may dislodge the nib mount
The nib may chip if subjected to impact. As repair options are limited, please take care when handling
Build-up of dry ink in the nib’s grooves may affect ink flow. Rinse regularly with water during use
To improve ink flow or remove stubborn dried ink, gently scrub in water using a soft toothbrush
If using detergent, a pH neutral detergent is recommended
To avoid residual moisture after use, remove from the nib holder and allow to dry thoroughly before storing
Each piece is handcrafted by a glass artisan and may vary slightly in shape, line width or writing feel.

This glass nib was created to make glass pens more approachable for everyday use. Made from durable borosilicate glass and meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, it delivers the unique pleasure of writing with glass. The design was developed in collaboration with specialist laboratory glassmakers, Tatsu Glass, to address the challenges of mass production. The rust-resistant stainless steel component is made with exceptional precision, reflecting the essence of Japanese craftsmanship.

The nib offers the distinctively firm feel of hard glass, producing a well-balanced line that is neither too bold nor too fine. The carefully crafted grooves enhance ink retention, allowing you to write a full sentence with just one dip.
