Enshu orimono
Autumn/Winter 2025

Enshu Orimono is a traditional Japanese woven textile, with its craftsmanship passed down through generations in western Shizuoka Prefecture since the Edo period. Thanks to the region’s mild climate, cotton and indigo cultivation has flourished here for centuries, paving the way for a vibrant and enduring textile industry. Even today, production continues on traditional looms, enabling a rich variety of woven expressions.

Banshu-ori

Shimada Textiles is a textile manufacturer with over 90 years of history in Nishiwaki, Hyogo, the home of Banshu-ori. The company creates original fabrics working with highly skilled craftspeople across all stages of production. Kakimori’s signature grey fabric is crafted using the Banshu-ori textile tradition.
