〈17-25 May〉Kayo Nomura exhibition: New Light

We’re delighted to present an exhibition and a series of workshops with artist Kayo Nomura, whose creative practice centres on heart-centred dialogue.


1 . Art Diary Workshop


In this workshop, you’ll be guided in creating your own unique visual diary through painting and drawing, while getting a rare glimpse into Nomura’s personal illustrated journals.

Dates: Sat 17, Sun 18, Sat 24 & Sun 25 May
Time: 11am-12:30pm
Cost: ¥5,800. Includes:
- Kakimori spiral bound notebook for use during the workshop, with the cover specially foil-stamped with the name of the workshop. Please note: the notebook is differs from the artist’s own
- Kayo Nomura x Kakimori postcard

2 . Dialogue Drawing


In this one-on-one live drawing session, Nomura captures your inner world through dialogue. Witness as a bespoke artwork takes shape in colour and form, inspired by the innermost thoughts and desires of your present self.

3. Omamori Drawing


In this session, Nomura will create a palm-sized artwork to become your personal amulet (omamori)

Dates: Sat 17, Sat 24 & Sun 25 May
Time: 2:30-5pm (duration: approx. 15 min, with the last session at 5pm)
Cost: ¥3,300
Capacity: No bookings required. Participants will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please allow time for waiting.

Kayo Nomura
Abstract artist born in Nagoya. Having lived abroad since childhood in various regions including the United States, Nomura enjoyed a global corporate career before turning to art. Her firsthand experience of diverse cultures sparked a fascination with energetic and emotional realms that transcend language, inspiring a unique artistic practice that incorporates both words and imagery. Her evolving practice includes Dialogue Drawing® — portraiture through dialogue that explores the inner self — and live drawing sessions accompanied by live music, through which she captures the energy of the present moment.
