〈3-15 June〉Kirie Works by Hiyoko Imai

We’re delighted to welcome Amsterdam-based artist and graphic designer Hiyoko Imai for her first exhibition and workshops at Kakimori.

Event highlights include the creative process behind her picture book Sun and Shiro and the Polka-dot Snake, a display of her alphabet poster, and weekend kirie (Japanese paper cutting) workshops.

Inspired by the names of Kakimori’s ten signature ink colours, Imai has created kirie designs to guide you in making your own set of ten paper-cut creations.

Workshop 2
Using the paper cuttings from the first workshop, you’ll create a picture book by adding your own text, or turn them into an art booklet.

Workshop 3
