We’re excited to announce an in-store event in collaboration with textile brand Rétela, a new addition to our order-made notebook lineup this spring.
Rétela creates garments and accessories by repurposing the discarded fabric underlay from the production of traditional Indian block prints.
There will be a block printing workshop, as well as a brand showcase and pop-up shop.
1. Block printing workshop
Create your own block prints on the handkerchief-size fabric provided. You may choose to bring your own fabric, garment or paper to print on (limited to one item per person).Times:

2. Un Fabric showcase
Indian chintz is block printed by hand using carved wooden blocks. During this process, the underlying cloth becomes printed with an accidental collage of colours and patterns. Rétela has named this underlay material “un fabric”, which are repurposed in the creation of its textile pieces. As a result, each piece is completely unique with no two items alike in colour or pattern.We invite you to come and discover your favourite pieces.
