At Kakimori, many of our designs are crafted by hand from natural materials.
In our desire to offer a standard of consistency expected from product images and samples, this means that inevitably some pieces don’t make it to the shop shelves.
Some examples include Hasami pen rests with uneven glazes or markings, and an early batch of Metal nibs in brass that developed a premature patina during production.
While these items may not be perfect, they are no less fit for their purpose — and so we created Perfectly Imperfect, a collection that aims to shine a light on their irregular charm.
