One of our design team members loves crafts, cooking and is full of creative DIY ideas.
Today, we’ll show you how she spends her writing time.

She uses Gmund’s weekly planner for her meal planning, chosen for the texture of the letterpress print. She plans her meals by writing out her weekly shopping in the notes column and filling the days of the week with meal ideas.

The notes column is vertically divided in half using our pigment ink in Po, a vibrant colour that matches the printed border, for keeping her weekly shopping list.

To write out the shopping items, she uses our pigment ink in Torori. The cheerful orange shade was inspired by an omelette, which she thinks is a perfect match.

For the meals, she uses an evocative blue chosen from our limited-edition Ink without a recipe collection, featuring a selection of surplus inks at Inkstand. She crosses out items on the shopping list as they’re used, making the most of what’s left to avoid waste.

At the end of each week, the sheet is placed in a handmade folder created to size, made by covering cardboard with vintage wrapping paper and adding rivets and ribbon for binding.

Week by week, her collection of meal ideas grows, providing plenty of inspiration for future meals.
Now, let’s take a look at her tools.
She uses three inks and three pens – a pen for each colour – along with a triangular scale ruler and a single-hole punch.
Kakimori rollerball pens are designed to be refilled with our inks. As a left-hander, she prefers the smooth flow of a rollerball over a fountain pen, and treasures her collection of Kakimori rollerballs from over the years.

She enjoys creative DIY projects to complement ready-made items and uses colour-coding to organise and add visual impact. We hope you’ll find something here to inspire your own writing time.
